A letter from our Founder & Director
I’m Merilynne, the founder and Director of Air Sitters, based in Brisbane, Queensland.
I’m an experienced pet and house sitter working as a professional in Human Resource Management, and wanted share a bit about the heart behind the venture.
As a pet sitter I have often thought, “What would I to do or how would I react in a pet emergency situation if I couldn’t access the services of a vet or animal hospital right away?”
The pet sitting marketplace is somewhat unregulated and therefore I truly feel pet parents don’t realise they are putting their pet family members at risk by engaging inexperienced pet sitters with limited to no knowledge of emergency pet care.
At Air Sitters, we’re changing things up! We only register pet sitters who are medically trained or certified in pet care. All registered sitters are experienced vet nurses, technicians, vet science students or at the minimum are certified in pet first aid CPCR such as myself.
My niche pet and house sitting marketplace business is where pets are truly our clients. The well-being for all involved is at the front and centre of our business.
Pet parents are responsible for choosing the right person to be the second pet parent in their absence. I’m here to help make sure you feel you have the best possible person to fill this role.
